Payments & Wire Transfers
In line with BCB’s legal and regulatory obligations and the evolving restrictions on transactions into, or out of, Russia, as of 30th May 2022, BCB will limit transactions into, and out of, Russia. BCB wishes to advise customers that any permitted transactions are likely to experience significant delays and may result in additional charges.
Payment Cut Off Time Changes ahead of the Bermuda Public Holidays on Thursday, 1st Aug, 2024 and Friday, 2nd Aug, 2024
- USD – There will be no USD/BMD payments for value the 1st or 2nd of August 2024.
- All USD payments for value Wednesday, 31st July, 2024 must be communicated to the bank no later than 12:00 p.m. on that day.
- The next available value date for USD payments, post-holiday weekend, will be Monday, 5th August, 2024 at the regular cut-off times that apply for same day USD payments.
- CAD – There will be no CAD payments for value the 1st or 2nd of August 2024. All CAD payments for value Wednesday, the 31st July must be communicated to the Bank no later than 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 30th July, 2024.
- The next available value date for CAD payments, post-holiday weekend, will be Tuesday, 6th August, 2024, as the 5th August, 2024 is a public holiday in Canada. Payments for the 6th August, 2024 must be submitted to the bank by 3:00 p.m. on the 5th August, 2024.
- GBP, EUR, CHF, NOK, AUD, NZD, SGD & JPY – There will be no payments in these currencies for value the 1st or 2nd of August 2024. All payments for these currencies for value Wednesday, 31st July, 2024 must be communicated to the bank no later than the regular 11:00 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. cut-off time that regularly applies to these currencies, on Monday, 29th July, 2024.
- The next available value date for these currencies, post-holiday, will be Monday, 5th August, 2024, except for AUD which will be Tuesday, 6th August, 2024, due to a public holiday in Australia on the 5th August, 2024. Payments for value the 5th August for these currencies (or for the 6th August for AUD) should be communicated to the bank by the regular 11:00 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. cut off time that applies for these currencies on Tuesday, 30th July, 2024
